• Pay grade and dependency status (for BAH calculations)
• Saved neighborhoods in your watchlist
• Filter preferences

Automatically collected:

• Device type and operating system
• General location (for nearest base suggestions)

Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage data to improve the app:

• Which neighborhoods you view
• Search filters used
• Features used (save, share, compare)

We do NOT collect:

• Your name or email
• Precise GPS location
• Any personally identifying information

Opt out: Disable JavaScript or use a privacy browser extension.

How We Use Your Information

• Calculate BAH-to-rent comparisons
• Show neighborhoods near your installation
• Save preferences locally on your device
• Improve app performance

Data Storage

Your data is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain user accounts or store personal information on external servers.

HomeScoop uses these APIs:

• GreatSchools - School ratings
• RentCast - Rental data
• Google Distance Matrix - Commute times
• FBI Crime Data - Safety stats
• AirNow - Air quality

Each has their own privacy policies.

Your Rights

You can clear all app data anytime via your device settings. Since data is stored locally, deleting the app removes all your information.
